Italian Reds Tasting @ The Wine Guy North

With heartier fare on the table this time of year, we thought we’d sample a great batch of food friendly Italian reds. We’ll have a wide range of styles from lighter and fruity to broad shouldered and age worthy. Call 254.6500 to reserve your seat. This will fill quickly.

Syrah / Shiraz Comparison Tasting @ The Wine Guy North
Wednesday Dec. 3 7 pm $20 per person
These wines are probably my favorite because they are so flexible with food and easy to drink. Spicy, jammy, smoky, juicy and rich can describe this grape depending on where it’s grown. We’ll have examples from all over the world. Call 254.6500 to make reservations. Seating is limited..

Bubbly Tasting - Wed. Dec. 10, 7 pm
$25 per person reservations required
This tasting always turns into a big party. We’ll sample 10 sparkling wines from all over the world in hopes that we’ll find that perfect bottle of bubbles for all of your holiday festivities. Call 254.6500 for reservations as this one will also fill quickly.

Cucina 24 Wine Dinner
Wed. December 17th 7 pm $70 inclusive of tax & tip.
We are really looking forward to this event. Brian and his staff will present a wonderful Italian feast that we will pair with some wonderful Italian wines. Seating is limited to 25 guests and with the success they have had to this point, this dinner will fill quickly. Call Cucina 24 at 254.6170 to make reservations. The Wine Guy stocks a diverse selection of wines from around the world, focusing on smaller producers and often lesserknown varietals. Educating the consumer is a vital part of our mission as wine merchants. For that reason, we offer tastings several times a month, providing the opportunity for sampling and comparing the wide array of wine styles and grape varieties available today. Our tastings are designed to please both the casual consumer as well as the serious enthusiast. Wine dinners are offered as well, which showcase the talents of local chefs while demonstrating the magic that can be worked with proper food and wine pairings. Reservations are required for most events, and light hors d’ oeuvres are provided at tastings. All tastings are at the 555 Merrimon Ave. location unless otherwise specified. Prepayment may be required for some events, and 48 hour cancellation notice is greatly appreciated.
